Starting tomorrow, April 3, you can catch five all-new episodes of DreamWorks Animation’s original series “All Hail King Julien” on Netflix, and we have an exclusive clip featuring the coffee-addled title character dealing with serious caffeine withdrawal. Check out the hilarious clip in the player below, and you can read our interview with actor David Krumholtz (This is the End, “The Good Wife”), who voices new tenrec character Timo, right here!
A prickly, sarcastic tenrec (similar to a hedgehog) who conducts experiments and builds things out of the various junk that washes up on shore, Timo is also Julien’s go-to “tech guy” — though as far as Julien is concerned, Timo is a wizard who uses his “science-magic” to fix anything.
In the new episodes, King Julien gets everyone hooked on caffeine, tries to automate life on Madagascar (to disastrous effects), embarrasses Maurice, misrepresents the truth and generally brings chaos wherever he goes — all while managing, unintentionally, to stay one step ahead of an always-imminent uprising. As always, when his silliness puts his colony in danger, his heart rises to the occasion to save the day. It’s a riot of color ─ and a laugh riot ─ when viewers “All Hail King Julien!”
