Instead, there was a group of session musicians who were often called upon to play the music on great songs like “Good Vibrations,” “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” as well as classic television show theme songs that have remained with us decades later.
The Wrecking Crew is a documentary from Denny Tedesco, son of the late guitarist Tommy Tedesco, that brings together some of the surviving musicians at the time the film was made, to talk about some of the recording sessions from those great tunes.
Magnolia Pictures has provided ComingSoon.net with an exclusive clip from the film, which debuts in select theaters and on VOD today, March 13. You can watch the clip, in which Tedesco talks about playing riffs that few touring musicians could recreate, in the player below, and find out where the movie’s playing or how to order it on the official Magnolia Site.
If you’re a fan of classic music of the ’60s and ’70s, The Wrecking Crew is one of the Weekend Warrior’s Must See movies this week.
