Hayden Panettiere (“Heroes”) is set to star in teenage comedy Daydream Nation, written and to be directed by Michael Goldbach, says Variety.
Kieran Culkin is in negotiations to play opposite Panettiere as her oblivious boyfriend.
Daydream Nation, budgeted at about $10 million, is scheduled to start production in the second or third quarter of this year.
The producing team includes Michael Besman, Cameron Lamb of Lila 9th Productions, Lesley Vogel, Emily Gerson Saines of Brookside Artist Management, and the Collective’s Sam Maydew.
