In what appears to be a case of last-minute counterprogramming, 20th Century Fox has moved back the Katherine Heigl romantic comedy 27 Dresses a week from Jan. 11 to Jan. 18, where it will now face the J.J. Abrams-produced monster movie Cloverfield. The only other wide release that day is Overture’s Mad Money.
Regardless how the match-up plays out, the movies will enjoy a four-day weekend due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 21st.
