The single-camera comedy was scripted by Lucy Prebble (“Secret Diary of a Call Girl”), who executive produces with Silverman, Ash Atalla, Amy Zvi and Dan Hine.
One of America’s most celebrated and occasionally controversial comics, Silverman previously starred in three seasons of “The Sarah Silverman Program” for Comedy Central, and has had guest spots on shows like “Masters of Sex,” “Louie” and “The Simpsons.” On film she had a co-starring role in Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West, the Disney hit Wreck-It Ralph, as well as a starring role in the drama I Smile Back, about a wife and mother who succumbs to drug addiction, which will debut at next month’s Sundance Film Festival.
She previously worked with HBO on the comedy special “Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles,” for which she won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special.
