With their first solo adventure hitting theaters next week, DreamWorks Animation’s The Penguins of Madagascar have released a new faux-featurette that proves exactly how dedicated its voice actors were when it came to getting in the mindset of their respective arctic critters. In the video player below, you can watch Benedict Cumberbatch learn to bark, Tom McGrath refuse to drop character for the entire production, Ken Jeong dress up like a baby seal and more!
John Malkovich, Chris Miller, Peter Stormare, Annet Mahendru and Christopher Knights also lend their voices to the animated adventure, which follows the global exploits of the world’s most covert team of penguins, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private. When the group is contacted by a a top-secret organization called The North Wind (led by Cumberbatch’s lupine Agent Classified), they’re enlisted to help talk down the villainous Dr. Octavius Brine (Malkovich), who has plans to destroy the entire world.
Directed by Eric Darnell and Simon Smith, The Penguins of Madagascar arrives November 26 in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D theaters. Check back next week for exclusive video interviews with the film’s cast right here at ComingSoon.net.
