Nimrod Antal (Vacancy) has signed on to helm another Screen Gems thriller, Armored, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on a screenplay by James V. Simpson, the story centers on a young armored car guard who is persuaded by his veteran cohorts to empty the truck of its $10 million haul.
Although Screen Gems is eyeing a fall start date, it is unclear whether Armored will be Antal’s next project.
The film will be produced by Buckaroo Entertainment partners Sam Raimi and Josh Donen and Dan Farah of Farah Films & Management.
Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper and executive Eric Paquette will oversee the project.
