Director Chris Sivertson and gossip target Lindsay Lohan are talking about reuniting down the road for a new film called Hippy. According to EW, the two found a creative kinship in one another while shooting Sony’s I Know Who Killed Me, Sivertson’s big Hollywood break that drew heavy media attention because of Lohan’s involvement, and subsequently her time in rehab during the production.
Sounding much like David Durston’s 1971 I Drink Your Blood (without the rabies-laced meat pies), crazed peace-lovers are at the center of Hippy‘s plot as a bunch of kids go on a road trip. Along the way, their kill-frenzy is fueled by a bad acid trip. Marc Senter, who dominates every scene in Sivertson’s unreleased Jack Ketchum adaptation The Lost, would co-star. He’ll also be seen in “I Know” as well as Ti West’s Cabin Fever 2 later this year.
“I have so much faith in [Sivertson], just as a person, and I just love working with him,” Lohan told EW. “I love him [so much] as a person, that while we were on set, I was like, ‘Let’s make a deal right now.'”
Whether Hippy becomes Sivertson’s next remains to be seen, he’s also scheduled to helm Wicked Lake for Fever Dreams Films (The Hills Run Red).
