Lee Kwang-Soo and Hoang Ha will star in a new Korean rom-com film, Dreams of You. The project is a global collaboration between actors from South Korea and Vietnam. The film tells the story of a superstar falling in love in a different country.
Kang Joon-Woo is a top star from South Korea, known as the “Prince of Asia.” He takes on a role that has to be filmed in Vietnam. He aims for the Cannes Film Festival and is ready to work harder in his new venture. During his shooting, Joon-Woo finds himself in an awkward situation without money. A Vietnamese woman, Tao, helps the actor at the time. The two then begin an unpredictable yet comfortable journey together.
Lee Kwang-Soo & Hoang Ha to appear in Korean movie Dreams of You
Lee Kwang-Soo and Hoang Ha are the lead cast of the forthcoming project, Dreams of You. The Midnight Studio star Eum Moon-Suk has also joined the team.
After a long time, Kwang-Soo will appear in a romantic comedy role. Speaking about the film, he told SBS News, “I’ll do my best to show a different side of myself through this film. I hope you look forward to it. It’s a heartwarming romantic comedy that everyone can relate to, rather than just a dreamlike romance.” He currently appears in the Disney Plus series, No Way Out: The Roulette.
Meanwhile, Hoang Ha has done many noteworthy projects in Vietnam. This will be her first time working on Korean content. Furthermore, filmmaker Kim Sung-Hoon (Confidential Assignment) is the director.
Sharing his thoughts about the movie, Sung-Hoon said, “I’m thrilled to be working with Lee Kwang-Soo again after ten years. Although this is a new type of project for me, I’m excited because it involves exceptional staff and actors from both Korea and Vietnam.”
Dreams of You will have a global release in the first half of 2025.
