Plot – what’s the story about?
Pachinko is an epic chronicle based on the 2017 historical fiction novel of the same name by Korean American author Min Jin Lee.
It follows the multigenerational story of a Korean family from 1915 to 1989, that moved Japan-occupied Korea to Koreatown of Osaka. A poignant watch, the series dives into the ruthless discrimination faced by Korean immigrants in Japan of that era. The first season of the show premiered on March 25, 2022, and released a total of eight episodes or chapters.
