Chapter 188 starts with Arthur and an escort looking for Professor Glory. Arthur finds her and sends the escort back. However, he asks Arthur about Captain Audyyr, and the former tells him he will meet him tomorrow since he is still drunk. He joins Mrs. Glory on the cliff and asks her if a lookout should be drinking, but she asks him the same thing after seeing how red his cheeks are.
Mrs. Glory asks him if he thinks they will win the war against the Vritra, and he tells her he is unsure but will do everything to ensure they do.
