This much-awaited animated Batman series was first announced in 2021, and its release has finally arrived. When is the Batman: Caped Crusader release time for Prime Video?

The release time for Batman: Caped Crusader is 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET in the U.S. on Amazon Prime Video.

Season 1 will include 10 episodes, which will all be available to stream starting August 1, at the aforementioned times. First announced in 2021, the show was originally set to come out on HBO Max. However, in March 2023, it moved to Amazon with a two-season order. Fans are expecting the series to bring back the essence of Bruce Timm’s 1990s Batman: The Animated Series.

As per THR, J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves made a joint statement when the series was first announced. “We are beyond excited to be working together to bring this character back, to tell engrossing new stories in Gotham City,” they said. “The series will be thrilling, cinematic, and evocative of Batman’s noir roots while diving deeper into the psychology of these iconic characters. We cannot wait to share this new world.”

The animated series will feature a talented lead voice cast, including Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Christina Ricci as Catwoman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn, and Diedrich Bader as Harvey Dent. Along with these signature Batman villains, fans will also reportedly get to see some lesser-known ones like Firebug, Nocturna, Gentleman Ghost, and Clayface.

The official synopsis for Batman: Caped Crusader reads:

“Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant, and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the Batman. His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.”
