If you’ve seen Worst Roommate Ever S2E4, you’re probably wondering where Michael Dudley is now and what happened to him after the show was recorded. The episode makes it clear that he was convicted of second-degree murder, but in today’s volatile justice system, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s getting the punishment people think he deserves. We’ll look at Dudley’s current status and see if he’s still in jail or has managed to make parole or probation.
What happened to Michael Dudley after Worst Roommate Ever, and where is he now?
After the airing of Worst Roommate Ever S2E4, Michael Dudley remains incarcerated in Washington State Penitentiary. A jury convicted Dudley on two counts of second-degree murder on June 9, 2020. According to The Seattle Times, Judge Aimee Sutton sentenced Dudley to 560 months (46.5 years) in prison. Washington doesn’t have a traditional parole system, so Dudley will be forced to serve the entirety of his sentence. If he lives long enough, he will be around 111 years old when released.
The severity of Dudley’s sentence was enhanced by the use of a firearm in the murders and because of the “contempt and utter disrespect for the victims,” shown by letting them decompose in his yard before dismembering them and dumping them. Dudley continues to contend that he didn’t commit the crime and that Lewis and Wenner had plenty of enemies due to their lifestyle.
Unfortunately, Dudley was not charged with the death of the dog mentioned in the episode. He also goes unpunished for the various other crimes he committed or was affiliated with.
Statistically speaking, Dudley has essentially been sentenced to life in prison. However, the public can rest assured that if Dudley somehow manages to beat the odds and live through his sentence, at 111 years old, he’ll be in no position to cause further harm to society.
