Actor Lee Soo-Hyuk played a negative role in the previous episode.
In episode 7, David Myeong (Lee Soo-Hyuk) thought he outsmarted player Kang Ha-Ri (Seung-Heon). Despite throwing the latter and Jung Soo-Min into a dangerous situation, Myeong failed to avoid falling into Ha-Ri’s trap. After solving Myeong’s case, Soo-Min assigned a new mission to the team of swindlers.

The Player 2: Master of Swindlers episode 8’s trailer begins by showcasing Supreme Leader Lim Sang-Sik’s power. It appears that he runs a cult and steals money in the name of faith. Ha-Ri meets Sang-Sik as his fan, while Soo-Min interacts with him as his loyal servant.
The swindlers create a scenario for Sang-Sik to make him believe he can steal money from an old woman. Things may go sideways when the cult leader forces himself on someone. The trailer ends with one of Ha-Ri’s team members asking, “Will Ha-Ri be okay?”
