There’s a first look at The Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno as a cannibalistic pig farmer in The Hermit.
Variety had the exclusive first glimpse of Ferrigno in costume on the horror film.
The Hermit First Look
Acquired by Scatena and Rosner Films, The Hermit sees bodybuilder Ferrigno take on his first monstrous role since his iconic turn in the hit CBS series The Incredible Hulk.
The story of The Hermit sees two self-absorbed teens named Lisa and Eric, played by Malina Weissman (A Series of Unfortunate Events) and Anthony Turpel (Bloody Bridget), dragged on a vacation to the woods. They venture off trail, stumble across a farm, go in, see animal heads hanging from the wall and “fight for their lives against an unstoppable cannibal pig farmer.” who makes and sells jerky made of human flesh.
The Hermit is directed by Italian helmer Salvatore Sclafani and produced by Los Angeles- and New York-based Gerry Pass via his Chrome Entertainment shingle in tandem with Sclafani’s First Child Prods.
Scatena and Rosner will be launching sales on the chiller, which is now in post, at the Cannes Marché du Film.
