The Amazing Digital Circus Gummigoo character has become an instant fan favorite. This candied gummy crocodile with a cowboy hat and an Australian accent made his debut in the much-awaited second episode available on the YouTube page for Glitch Productions. He’s introduced as a bandit who, along with his gang of other gummi crocs, has stolen maple syrup from the Candy Canyon Kingdom. Pomni and the rest of the circus gang are meant to take the truck of syrup back, but this ends up with Gummigoo finding out who he really is and ultimately meeting his supposed death. Here’s whether Gummigoo is really dead or if he might be coming back in future episodes of TADC.
Will Gummigoo return in The Amazing Digital Circus?
Yes, hints point to Gummigoo not being dead and returning in future episodes of The Amazing Digital Circus.
Gooseworx, the creator and animator of the YouTube series, revealed on her Twitter page on May 5, 2024 that this will likely not be the last time we see our candy crocodile: “Don’t worry, there will be something for Gummigoo fans eventually.” So while we’re not sure if Gummigoo will appear in the next episode, some variation of him will likely pop up at some point.
That said, from what we learned in the second episode, he may not return with all the information and self-awareness he attained when Pomni explained that he’s an NPC in a digital world. Gummigoo was inches away from being a member of the circus before he gets blasted into confetti by the ringleader Caine. Or perhaps he was unceremoniously transported back to the Candy Canyon Kingdom.
Either way, Ragatha mentions that Caine will likely reuse him and other NPCs in future adventures. To that end, we see that the base versions of many objects and characters are stored somewhere below the map, all ready to be duplicated. That said, Gummigoo might have had his memory wiped, possibly leading to Pomni and the gang to explain his dire situation over again. In fact, his constant trauma at being deleted could become a gag, as it would fit with the dark humor of the show. We hope not, though. Gummigoo has been through enough.
