My Hero Academia episode 1 recap
The episode starts with Deku contemplating if killing Shigaraki is really the only way to save him. At Brightman Air Force Base, the soldiers learn of the critical situation in Japan and plan to join the battle. Their request is answered when Star and Stripe arrives, asking them to go to Japan with her to help her master.
Elsewhere, All for One reveals his plans to Spinner, telling him that taking One for All is just a medium-term goal. He sets his sights on Star and Stripe and her Quirk. He tells Spinner that the League of Villains will play a critical role in the coming battle and help liberate the world.
Meanwhile, Shigaraki intercepts Star and Stripe. The episode then explains her relationship with All Might and reveals her Quirk, New Order, which allows her to create rules for anything she touches. Using it, she attacks Shigaraki, but his regenerative ability keeps him alive in the fight. She touches him and uses her Quirk, but since he is neither One For All nor Shigaraki at the moment, it doesn’t work. The episode ends with the US government sending missiles to aid her fight.
