Akshay Kumar is gearing up again to tickle the audience’s funny bone with the much-loved Housefull franchise. The film franchise is all set to roll out its fifth installment. Moreover, the dynamic duo of Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala are gearing up for their 11th collaboration with this film.
Furthermore, the Housefull series is known for its ensemble cast and slapstick humor. Over the years, it has consistently garnered box office success, making it one of the most successful franchises. Sources close to the project reveal that Housefull 5 is not only the most ambitious venture in terms of budget and casting but also promises to introduce a novel dimension to the beloved franchise. Scheduled to commence filming in August 2024, Housefull 5 is poised to elevate the franchise to new heights.
Akshay Kumar will start shooting for Housefull 5 from August
According to sources close to the production, regulars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have confirmed their return. Additionally, they will be joined by an extensive lineup of new and returning faces. Casting efforts are currently underway to bring together almost every actor from the previous installments. As per reports, makers are aiming to create a Housefull universe film. This film will surpass all predecessors in terms of scale and entertainment value.
The highlight of Housefull 5 will also be its major shooting segment aboard a cruise ship. The makers have scheduled for a 45-day shoot in September on the waters. “The entire confusion of this comic caper unfolds on a cruise and producer Sajid Nadiadwala has blocked a lavish cruise for this mad-cap entertainer. Imagine the gang under the safe roof with no way to escape,” said a source close to the development.
Logistics for filming on a cruise are expected to be complex and challenging. This further adds to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the project. The film is slated for a theatrical release on June 6, 2025, and if the franchise’s past success is any indicator, Housefull 5 is also expected to be a super hit.
