Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan Release Date Window Announced

Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to take up another action role in his upcoming movie, Vettaiyan. The film marks the 170th project of the actor’s career, stirring excitement among fans. So far, only a few details about the project have been revealed. The makers recently unveiled a title announcement teaser, offering the first glimpse of Rajinikanth’s character. This unveiling has solidified the movie‘s release date window.

Rajinikanth last appeared in an extended cameo in Lal Salaam. Ahead of the 2024 movie, the actor’s 2023 outing Jailer became a massive success. His hefty remuneration for the film had made many headlines and broke records. The same is expected with the forthcoming project.

Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan to release in October?

Recently, the creators unveiled the release window for Vettaiyan. Amidst ongoing production, the movie will hit screens in the final quarter of 2024. Accompanied by a fresh poster, the makers have officially announced its October release. The announcement’s caption read, “Kuri vechachu. VETTAIYAN is all set to take charge in cinemas this OCTOBER (calendar emoticon) Get ready to chase down the prey!”

The anticipation surrounding Rajinikanth’s return to a police officer role is in tandem with the excitement for the film’s impressive ensemble cast. Apart from the superstar, the movie also features celebrated actors from different industries. Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan play vital roles in the film. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the film’s music under the direction of TJ Gnanavel.

On the work front, Rajinikanth has several projects lined up in his pipeline. After Vettaiyan, the Jailer star will appear in another high-octane action flick, Thalaivar 171. Lokesh Kangaaraj is directing the movie and has revealed that it will see the superstar in a new avatar. Additionally, according to multiple sources, the industry veteran has also signed up for his 172nd and 173rd projects.
