NCT Doyoung is finally making his solo debut. SM Entertainment has shared the release date of Doyoung’s new album, Youth. The solo project will also feature one of the most popular K-pop solo artists of all time, Taeyeon.
Kim Dong-Young, more famously known as Doyoung, is a multi-talented superstar of SM’s globally famous K-pop act, NCT. Doyoung debuted in K-pop in 2015 as part of NCT U. Since then, he has been part of NCT 127, NCT DoJaeJung, and lent his vocals to several K-drama OSTs.

Doyoung’s debut album, Youth, will be released on April 22 at 6 p.m. KST/ 5 a.m. ET/ 2 a.m. PT/ 10 a.m. BST/ 2.30 p.m. IST. Girls’ Generation star Taeyeon will be featured in one of the tracks. SM Entertainment has yet to reveal the details of the track.
Per reports, Doyoung’s first album will showcase his musical versatility and ability to emote a range of sentiments through the songs. The album will contain ten tracks.
While it took eight long years for Doyoung to make his solo debut finally, fans had previously gotten a taste of his solo music through several original Korean drama soundtracks. Some of the K-pop star’s most famous K-drama OSTs include “Night Air” for Cafe Midnight and “Beautiful Day” for Dr. Romantic 3, “Here with Me” for See You in My 19th Life, “A Little More” for Soundtrack #1, and “Like a Star” for Yumi’s Cells.
Apart from singing, Doyoung also made his acting debut in 2021. He bagged the lead role in the K-drama Midnight Cafe—The Curious Stalker. Later the same year, he participated in the Korean version of the Marie Antoinette musical. He was one of three main actors playing the male lead role of Count Axel von Fersen. Doyoung also earned praise for his lead role in the 2022 web drama Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me.
