The first trailer for Neon’s upcoming horror movie Cuckoo is here, previewing the upcoming film starring Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens.
Cuckoo is written and directed by German filmmaker Tilman Singer, who shot the film on 35mm. Alongside Schafer and Stevens, Cuckoo also stars Jessica Henwick, Marton Csókás, Greta Fernández, Jan Bluthardt, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, and more.

What is Cuckoo about?
“Reluctantly, 17-year-old Gretchen leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the German Alps with his new family,” reads the synopsis. “Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König, her father’s boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma. Something doesn’t seem right in this tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that also concerns her own family.”
The film is executive produced by Neon’s Tom Quinn, Jeff Deutchman, Emily Thomas, and Ryan Friscia. Producers are Markus Halberschmidt, Josh Rosenbaum, Maria Tsigka, Ken Kao, Thor Bradwell, and Ben Rimmer.
