The much-awaited Amazon MGM Studios documentary, The Blue Angels, will be released on Prime Video on May 23, 2024. However, it will also be screened in IMAX theaters from 17 to 23 May, 2024.
With director Paul Crowder at the helm, the documentary will showcase the remarkable teamwork, passion, and pride of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron aka. The Blue Angels. In addition, it will dive into what it takes to be a part of this prestigious squad, its challenges, and its tough training regime.
The upcoming documentary was filmed using IMAX cameras, guaranteeing viewers a memorable experience. According to IMAX’s official website, the synopsis reads, “Soar with The Blue Angels in a brand-new documentary featuring never-before-seen footage that chronicles a year with the Navy’s elite Flight Demonstration Squadron.
It reads, “From selection through the challenging training and demanding show season—showcasing the extraordinary teamwork, passion, and pride that fuels America’s best, the Blue Angels.”
When were the Blue Angels formed?
The Blue Angels were formed in 1946. According to their official website, their goal is to “inspire a culture of excellence and service to country.” Furthermore, in 2021, this squad celebrated its 75th anniversary and began using the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet. A total of 17 officers voluntarily serve with the Blue Angels.
