Queen of Tears Episode 4: Kim Soo-Hyun grows jealous of Kim Ji-Won & Park Sung-Hoon’s bond
The latest Queen of Tears episode 4 picked up from where the previous episode left off. After Hong Hae-In kissed Baek Hyun-Woo, the couple headed to her room. Hyun-Woo tried to retrieve his sister’s message on Hae-In’s phone. Previously, his sister messaged Hae-In, informing Hyun-Woo’s decision to get a divorce.
While Hyun-Woo tried multiple probable passwords, he realized her password was when the doctors announced her pregnancy and provided the date of the birth of their child. He left the room after deleting the message and an awkward interaction with Hae-In. Meanwhile, Hyun-Woo’s family thought all was well with the couple.
The following day, Hyun-Woo noticed changes in his wife’s demeanor. However, he also began to care more about her and also felt more attracted towards his wife. This scared him, given he was only going to pretend to be caring so that she would put his name on her will. To proceed with the plan, he brought her shoes, but after seeing her wear them, his heart fluttered.
Later, Hae-In and Eun-Seong met with Hercyna’s founder. Hae-In managed to persuade the latter for Eun-Seong’s approval. Although this put Eun-Seong in danger, he didn’t worry too much about it. Meanwhile, Hyun-Woo brought Hae-In warm snacks when she told him about a treatment abroad for her illness. Hyun-Woo grew concerned over his mission, considering Hae-In might continue to live and never add him to the will.
Gradually, he grew more jealous as Hae-In and Eun-Seong continued to work together. Hae-In’s brother, Hong Soo-Cheol, tried to further his resort business with Eun-Seong. He showed him the land, and Eun-Seong offered to think about the deal. However, Secretary Grace manipulated Hae-In’s mother, Kim Seon-Hwa, that Hae-In used her connection with Eun-Seong to cancel Soo-Cheol’s deal. When Seon-Hwa confronted Hae-In about the same, the latter almost fainted when Hyun-Woo held her.
Hyun-Woo asked Hae-In to reveal the truth behind her illness, but she felt that her parents might be shocked, given that they had already lost one child. Meanwhile, Grace collaborated with Eun-Seong and a Queen’s Group employee. They decided to have the company directors put their Queen’s Group stocks as collateral. They created a private equity fund and lured the directors into putting up their stocks.
Meanwhile, Chairman Hong Man-Dae got into an argument with his estranged son, Hong Beom-Seok. On the other hand, Hae-In rescued one of her employees from being abused by a customer. She then visited Hyun-Woo’s village on his sister’s request. Hae-In helped Hyun-Woo’s father, Baek Du-Gwan, stand tall against his opponent in the village election.
Hae-In spent some time at Hyun-Woo’s house. Meanwhile, Hyun-Woo’s mother informed him of Hae-In’s visit. Hae-In was walking around the village when she dropped her radio. While picking it up, she found herself hallucinating. She wandered around the neighborhood and lost her way. After Hyun-Woo reached the village, he couldn’t find her. After desperately looking for her, the two met on the street.
When Hyun-Woo confronted her, she slammed him, pretending to be strong. When he was about to leave, she confessed to being scared after a terrifying episode of memory loss. Upon hearing that, Hyun-Woo ran towards his wife and embraced her. The episode ended with a flashback to their interaction while in high school.
To watch their journey unfold, don’t forget to tune in to Queen of Tears every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN and later on Netflix.
