Fans are asking if Tom Hardy’s Venom will appear in the highly anticipated MCU mega-crossover film Avengers: Secret Wars after rumors about the same hit the internet. Here is everything you need to know.
Will Venom appear in Avengers: Secret Wars?
Venom is currently not confirmed to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars. However, according to reports, Kevin Feige is open to including the character in the film.
Rumors of a Venom appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars started when reputable but semi-reliable industry insider Daniel RPK, claimed via Patreon that Kevin Feige was open to the idea of including Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and his symbiote companion in the MCU film.
However, since this information does not come from either Kevin Feige or Marvel Studios, fans must take it with a grain of salt and await official confirmation.
While this information is just a rumor as of writing, a Venom appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars would not be surprising as the character played a pivotal role in the 1984 Secret Wars comic, which was when Spider-Man first came in contact with the creature.
However, it remains to be seen how Marvel Studios will adapt Venom and his story into Avengers: Secret Wars. It is currently unknown whether they will adapt the original 1984 comic or the more recent 2015 comic.
Tom Hardy’s Venom previously graced the MCU albeit briefly in the post-credits scenes of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and the mid-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, thanks to Doctor Strange and Spider-Man’s multiversal shenanigans.
Fans will not have to wait too long to see Venom again as he will return in Venom: The Last Dance this fall.
