Director Teases Update on HanuMan Sequel

The latest Telugu superhero film, HanuMan, created a massive stir in the country. The movie came out to be a blockbuster and was widely celebrated by the audience. Its unique concept that perfectly blended mythology with fantasy entertained the audience. Moreover, the film gave India a new superhero inspired by Lord Hanuman. It has only been two months since the film’s release, and the director, Prasanth Varma, is again in the news. He recently hinted at getting back to the director’s chair, and fans wonder if it is for Jai Hanuman, HanuMan’s sequel.

HanuMan saw Teja Sajja taking up the role of Hanumanthu, who gains the powers of Lord Hanuman. He later decides to fight the evil and save his village. Since the film’s release, Teja Sajja has been receiving immense praise.

On the other hand, director Prasanth Varma unveiled his superhero universe and promised it would comprise 12 movies. As HanuMan was a part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Univers, all eyes are on the director’s next project. While he has already announced Jai Hanuman as the movie’s sequel, he recently teased details about his next venture via social media.

Prasanth Varma teases pre-production of Jai Hanuman

Director Prasanth Varma recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to drop hints about his next project. In the image, the director showed a screen visible from his chair. The backdrop confirmed that Varma was in between a shoot. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Back to my happy place. Babu.. ready babu!”

The director did not reveal which project he has begun working on, but fans speculated it was Jai Hanuman. However, there were other speculations around the film. While one mentioned he must be appearing on the show Unstoppable with NBK, others claimed it might be an ad shoot with Mahesh Babu.

There is no clarity to Prasanth Varma’s cryptic post, but fans are excited to know they will get to see the director’s work soon.
