Burshiroad has announced the genre of the upcoming anime fighting game Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact as well as which platforms it will be released on.
A press release from the company revealed that the forthcoming title will be released on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Additionally, after a good deal of fan speculation online as to whether it would be a 2D or 3D fighting game, the release revealed that the game will indeed be a 2D fighter.
Finally, Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact will be playable at EVO Japan 2024, which is set to take place from April 27 to 29. Though the game doesn’t have a release date at this time, fans in Japan will be able to try it out during EVO.

Who is developing the Hunter x Hunter game?
The game is being developed by Eighting. This is hardly the company’s first shot at a fighting game, having previously worked on titles like the crossover fighter Battle Stadium D.O.N., the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series, the Wii title Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and more.
