Street Sharks Season 1 is a supremely entertaining 1994 American superhero series. It has half-men half-shark superheroes who try to fight crime in and around their neighborhood. They are the first of the set of hybrids created during a failed scientific experiment. They are followed by many other human and animal hybrids. Four brothers are mistakenly made into a crossbreed of humans and sharks when university professors create a machine called the gene slammer. The machine was capable of providing anthropomorphic traits to aquatic animals by combining DNAs that changed Professor Bolton and his four sons into human-shark hybrids.

Even though the street sharks save Dr. Paranoid’s life, he is anything but grateful. Ultimately, a wide range of mutant hybrid animals are made by Dr Paradigm who tries to destroy the street sharks. Eventually, many of these hybrids ultimately changed their alliance and joined the street sharks.

It was produced by DIC Entertainment and aired from 1994 to 1995, originally as a part of the Amazin’ Adventures lineup.
