The synopsis for the fourth episode of The Conners Season 6 teases the return of a main cast member who has been missing since the sixth season aired on February 7.
The synopsis released by ABC (via SpoilerTV) confirmed that Darlene Conner’s (played by Sara Gilbert) younger son Mark Conner (Ames McNamara) — who has yet to make an appearance in Season 6 — will be appearing on Episode 4, titled “Shrinks Don’t Talk and Kids Don’t Sing.” The episode will air on Wednesday, February 28.
You can read the Episode 4 synopsis down below:
“Mark adjusts to his first day of college as a commuter student; Becky gets into a disagreement with Beverly Rose’s music teacher over a song.”
Why is Mark absent during Season 6’s first three episodes?
The final episode of The Conners Season 5 saw Mark graduate from high school. But while the series hasn’t explained the character’s absence — and given the recently released Episode 4 synopsis — Mark may have just been busy getting ready for college.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that the first five seasons of the hit ABC sitcom will be arriving on Netflix on March 27. Some of the most recent Netflix series have broken streaming records, with CBS’ Young Sheldon and USA Network’s Suits becoming two of the service’s best-performing television shows.
Of course, considering The Conners’ status as a popular ABC sitcom, the series is shaping up to receive the same success once it arrives on the streamer.
“After a sudden turn of events, the Conner family is forced to face the daily struggles of life in a way they never have before. This iconic family continues to demonstrate that laughter, conversation and love can overcome anything,” the official synopsis for The Conners reads.
In addition to Gilbert and McNamara, The Conners also stars John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris-Goldufski, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, Michael Fishman as D.J. Conner, and Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, among others.
