It has been revealed that Tom Cruise will star in The Revenant director Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s currently untitled next movie.
Deadline has reported that Cruise will lead the filmmaker‘s first English movie since 2015’s The Revenant. Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. are in negotiations for the untitled film, which will be directed by Iñárritu, who also wrote it with Sabina Berman, Alexander Dinelaris, and Nicolas Giacobone. Legendary is likely to produce the picture as well.
It sounds as though this would be Cruise’s first film with Warner Bros. since partnering with the studio in January, with the star also being set to produce the untitled movie. Little is known about the production at this time, with no plot details having emerged thus far. It’s apparently an original story from Iñárritu, who has been meeting with a small number of actors about the film. Cruise was the first one to meet with the director, and he was apparently on board as soon as the meeting had concluded.
