According to Deadline, Zoë Kravitz’s upcoming feature directorial debut has received a brand new title from Amazon MGM Studios.
Originally called as Pussy Island, the thriller film starring Channing Tatum has now been officially titled Blink Twice. In addition, Amazon MGM Studios has also confirmed that Blink Twice will be arriving in theaters on August 23, 2024. Its theatrical release date will see the film debuting in the same month as other high-profile projects, including Borderlands, Alien: Romulus, and Kraven the Hunter.
What to expect in Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut movie?
“In Blink Twice, tech billionaire Slater King (Tatum) meets cocktail waitress Frida at his fundraising gala, and sparks fly. He invites her to join him and his friends on a dream vacation on his private island,” reads the synopsis. “It’s paradise. Wild nights blend into sun-soaked days and everyone’s having a great time. No one wants this trip to end, but as strange things start to happen, Frida begins to question her reality. There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.”
In addition to directing, Kravitz has also co-written the screenplay with E.T. Feigenbaum (High Fidelity). Blink Twice will also star Naomi Ackie, Christian Slater, Geena Davis, Adria Arjona, Simon Rex, Haley Joel Osment, Kyle MacLachlan and Alia Shawkat. It is produced by Bruce Cohen, Kravitz, Tiffany Persons, and Tatum’s Free Association.
