The trailer for Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent reveals Canada’s Law & Order spin-off, which debuts Thursday, February 22 at 8 PM ET on Citytv. It also streams on Citytv+.
The series adapts the iconic Law & Order franchise, which is created by Dick Wolf for Universal Television. It will showcase original Canadian stories that are written, produced by, and starring Canadians. The spin-off promises to be a “psychological thriller wrapped in a criminal investigation,” according to the official synopsis, and centers on a team of detectives that investigate high-profile crime and corruption in metro Toronto.

Who is in the cast of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent?
The Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent cast includes Aden Young (Rectify) as Det. Sgt. Henry Graff, Kathleen Munroe (City on Fire) as Det. Sgt. Frankie Bateman, Karen Robinson (Schitt’s Creek) as Inspector Vivienne Holness, and K.C. Collins (The Cleaning Lady) as Deputy Crown Attorney Theo Forrester. Other cast members are Nicola Correia-Damude (Shadowhunters) as Forensic Pathologist Dr. Lucy Da Silva, and Araya Mengesha (Anne with an E) as tech expert Mark Yohannes.
Consisting of ten episodes, the spin-off is produced by Lark Productions and Cameron Pictures for Citytv. Tassie Cameron serves as showrunner and executive produces alongside Erin Haskett, Amy Cameron, David Valleau, Alex Patrick, and Holly Dale.
Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent is the second English-language international spin-off for the long-running Dick Wolf franchise. The first was Law & Order: UK, which aired from 2009 to 2014 on ITV. The original Criminal Intent starred Vincent D’Onofrio as Detective Robert Goren and Kathryn Erbe as Detective Alexandra Eames. It ran for 10 seasons and a total of 195 episodes, concluding in 2011.
