Maestra: Strings of Truth episode 12 begins with how Hwang Bo-Reum-Byeol’s Lee Luna slowly poisoned Cha Se-Eum (Lee Young-Ae). She purchases Scotilla-min drug from her sister’s partner and keeps injecting in Se-Eum’s room freshener, plants, and perfumes.
Luna also kills Jin Ho-Eun with the same poison and attacks Kim Phil in a similar manner. However, the latter doesn’t die. When Se-Eum and Lee Mu-Saeng’s Yoo Jung-Jae find out the truth, they try to contact her secretary. The latter appears to be at Luna’s apartment while she is trying to escape. She attacks him and runs away.
Lee Young-Ae’s character feels helpless seeing people around her get hurt because of her. The police get hold of Luna’s sister but can’t figure out her whereabouts. The sister then approaches Se-Eum and tells her that Luna tends to get obsessed with people. She reveals that Luna is adopted and is obsessed with her mother. It was later discovered that Luna faked her adopted mother’s sugar levels and intentionally made her sick until she died due to an overdose.
After hearing about Luna’s past, Se-Eum decides to set a trap to catch her. She announces an orchestra event where she and Luna will perform. She picks the musical form Passacaglia, which Luna mentioned in her diary as one of her wishes to perform with Se-Eum. The orchestra group, including Lee Si-Won, chooses to support her despite the plan being dangerous. While others begin to lose hope, Se-Eum is confident Luna will show up.
When Se-Eum begins playing Passacaglia, Luna enters the stage with her violin and finishes the piece with her mentor. They meet again in Se-Eum’s green room, where the cops catch her. Luna looks betrayed and moves towards Se-Eum in a way to attack her. Instead, she pulls out an injection with the poison and injects it into her own neck.
