Ravi Teja Movie Eagle Release Date Delayed

Sankranti is one of the busiest times of the year for Telugu and Tamil cinema. The majority of movies pick the festival as its release date. This year, the festival is jam-packed with releases as five movies were set to hit the theaters around it. However, the makers of Ravi Teja’s Eagle have opted out of the competition.

Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh’s Saindhav, Teja Sajja’s Hanu Man, Ravi Teja’s Eagle, and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga were set to clash this Sankranthi. While Guntur Kaaram and Hanu Man locked January 12 as the release date, Eagle and Saindhav were set to arrive on January 13. Naa Saami Ranga is scheduled for its release on January 14.

Eagle may not release on Sankranti 2024

Now, after several speculations, the makers of Eagle have officially announced the film’s postponement. It was reported that the producers of the five movies had a discussion regarding their release dates. However, no one was ready to budge and step down from the competition. Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Ravi Teja wrote, “Taking a step back for the welfare of our Telugu Cinema. A little change in the arrival not in the shot & target. Eagle from February 9th,2024 :)))) Wishing the very best to all the films releasing this Sankranthi.” Karthik Gattamneni is directing the film, while People Media Factory is producing it.

The Indian cinema recently saw Dunki and Salaar competing at the box office and impacting the numbers. Dunki’s director Rajkumar Hirani also admitted that the clash has affected his movie. It did not open the way the makers had anticipated. If five movies have a clash, as a result, chances are that none of them will be able to survive. Moreover, Telugu-dubbed Tamil movies are also in the race. Even in Tamil cinema, four to five movies are competing around Pongal. In conclusion, opting out of the race is seemingly a fair choice for the makers.
