It’s been revealed that series creator Steven Knight is currently working on writing the final parts of the long-awaited Peaky Blinders movie‘s script.
In the Christmas double issue of RadioTimes, Knight gave an update on the Peaky Blinders movie while discussing the ballet The Redemption of Thomas Shelby. The creator revealed that his writing process for the film is somewhat like a dream and that shooting is planned to begin in the middle of 2024.
“I’m just working on the final bits of it at the moment,” Knight stated. “I just sit down at the keyboard and start. It’s a bit like having a dream, for me. You sit there and all this stuff comes, and then you read it back and think, ‘That’s pretty good — but where did it come from?’ … The plan is to start shooting that in the middle of next year.”
Just last month, series star Cillian Murphy said that he would be open to the idea of a Peaky Blinders film while speaking with Barbie star Margot Robbie, who happens to be a big fan of the show.
