The full title of this anime is Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside, and is based on the Japanese light novel series written by Zappon and illustrated by Yasumo. The project was originally a web novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. The plot revolves around Gideon Ragnason, an erstwhile member of the hero’s party. After his banishment from the said group, Gideon decides to open an apothecary in a borderland town under the alias Red. Soon, Rit, a princess and fellow adventurer, shows up at Gideon’s doorstep.
