KBS released The Matchmakers episode 13 trailer ahead of its premiere. Starring Rowoon and Cho Yi-Hyun, the K-drama’s storyline promises to be intense in the upcoming installment.
In episode 12, Cho Yi-Hyun’s Soon-Deok saves Rowan’s Sim Jung-Woo from killers. She also tells her mother-in-law, Park So-Hyun (Park Ji-Young), that she is the famous matchmaker, Yeo Joo-Daek. So-Hyun then warns her to not leave the house.
The recently released episode 13 trailer shows So-Hyun locking up Soon-Deok at home after the latter went out to save Jung-Woo. The mother-in-law also asks the Prince to not meet Soon-Deok.

The Matchmakers Episode 13 release date and time & plot
The Matchmakers episode 13 will air on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 9:45 p.m. KST on KBS. It will later be available on Viki.
The trailer begins with So-Hyun telling Soon-Deok (Ch Yi-Hyun) that she doesn’t trust her daughter-in-law anymore. Meanwhile, the Left State Minister is arrested, adding tension to the storyline. So-Hyun meets Jung-Woo, raising suspicions over their discussion.
The video further shows the King making a deal with So-Hyun. The preview ends with her telling Rowoon’s character, “Do not meet my daughter-in-law. If you keep meeting her, I will have no choice but to do things my way.” While she says this, the clip includes a close-up shot of the infamous poison.
KBS also released a few photos of The Matchmakers episode 13. Going by the pictures, the plot explores the final moments of the Princess, aka Jung-Woo’s late wife. She died during the wedding ceremony. In the previous episode, Jung-Woo revealed that he loved her and was not forced to marry her.
Since the beginning of the drama, he is seen looking for the poison as he believes the princess was killed with it. The upcoming episode will shed light on Jung-Woo and his late wife’s bond.
The Matchmakers airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on KBS and Viki.
