Starring Rowoon and Cho Yi-Hyun, The Matchmakers episode 11 aired on Tuesday on KBS. The K-drama’s storyline revolves around two young widowed matchmakers’ feelings for each other during the Joseon era.
In episode 10 ending, Sim Jung-Woo (Rowoon) told Yeo Joo-Daek (Cho Yi-Hyun) that they could never forget their respective late spouses. He added that it was okay for her to also have feelings for Jung-Woo.
The scene continued in Episode 11, where he gave a book to her. In it, there was a marriage proposal letter. While her heart melted at Jung-Woo’s proposal, she couldn’t accept it.
The Matchmakers Episode 11 ending: Rowoon learns he is the mythical matchmaker
The Matchmakers episode 11 features Rowoon’s Sim Jung-Woo proposing marriage to Cho Yi-Hyun’s Joo-Daek. She refuses to accept the proposal and reveals that she is not a widowed merchant but a noblewoman with a son.
She adds that her real name is Soon-Deok and that she borrowed the name Joo-Daek from her friend. Soon-Deok says, “I think we should never meet again.” Jung-Woo has fallen sick since their split. Fate brings them together again. He tells her to endure the situation and finish their matchmaking job as per their contract.
Meanwhile, the Left State Minister plans the Crown Prince’s abduction, but Maeng Ha-Na comes to his rescue. Jung-Woo has chest pain when he sees them together. This is when Soon-Deok tells him that he might be the mythical matchmaker, Ssangyeonsulsa. The lead characters visit the old maidens’ mother, who confirms that Jung-Woo is the true Ssangyeonsulsa.
The Matchmakers Episode 11 ends with Jung-Woo trying to accept his fate after Soon-Deok’s response to his marriage proposal. He tells her that if he is the mythical matchmaker then she must be his fate as his chest pains when he sees her. Soon-Deok replies that the maidens’ mother, who was a former Ssangyeonsulsa, mentioned that Soon-Deok’s late husband was her fate. Will Jung-Woo and Soon-Deok’s fate change?
