ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive First Time Caller clip from the upcoming thriller movie adaptation of the podcast The Earth Moves. The film is set to release through cable video-on-demand platforms and digitally on Friday, January 12, 2024.
“Brent Ziff is an internet shock-jock at the top of his game,” reads the movie‘s synopsis. “Fans and followers tune in from coast to coast to be insulted and enlightened by their favorite on-air provocateur. But on one very unusual night, Brent’s world is rocked by a long-time listener who calls in with a grave message.”

Who directed First Time Caller?
First Time Caller was co-directed by J.D. Brynn and Abe Goldfarb, the latter of which also stars in the film. The cast also includes Brian Silliman, Greg Proops, Ophira Eisenberg, and Ashlie Atkinson. The writer of the original podcast, Mac Rogers, also adapted the script.
The movie is produced by Patrick Terry for Cinedata. Executive producers are Gerry Ohrstrom, Thomas Campbell Jackson, and Lawrence Starr, as well as Buffalo 8’s Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor, Nikki Stier Justice, and Grady Craig.
