The infamous Boston Marathon Bombings were carried out by brothers, Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. This horrific incident took place on April 15, 2013, during the annual Boston Marathon. It killed three people and injured more than 250 people. Some injured victims even ended up losing their limbs.
Three days after the tragedy, officials released images of the suspects. The two domestic terrorists committed more crimes like murder and kidnapping. However, they were soon confronted by cops. A shootout terminated Tamerlan. However, Dzhokhar managed to flee.
Dzhokhar hid himself in a boat that was in the backyard of a Watertown resident. Cops soon arrived, shot him, and took him into custody.
This heartbreaking incident was covered in the first two episodes of FBI True season 2. It released on Paramount+ on April 11, 2023. Where is the Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev now?
For his crimes, the court sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death. He will be executed using lethal injection. Dzhokhar is currently 30 years old. According to StyleCaster, he is currently being held in USP Florence ADMAX, a supermax security prison in Florence, Colorado.
Dzhokhar was 19 years old at the time of the bombing. Both brothers were Chechen Kyrgyzstani-Americans.
