Bengali actor and director Parambrata Chatterjee recently tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with Piya Chakraborty, a mental health activist and singer.
Parambrata started his career with Bengali television and films. He then moved onto act in movies like Bhalo Theko (2003), Baishe Srabon (2011), Sold (2014), Kadambari (2017), and Doctor Bakshi (2023). In 2012, he made his Bollywood debut in Kahaani alongside Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. After the success of Kahaani, Parambrata appeared in Anushka Sharma’s Pari (2018) and the critically acclaimed Netflix film Bulbbul (2020).
As per reports, on November 27, 2023, he married Piya Chakraborty in the presence of their families and close friends at his Kolkata residence. The actor took to Instagram to announce the news of his wedding to fans. Sharing the photos, he quoted the lines from T.S. Eliot’s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock and wrote, “Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky…This is it.”

Who is Parambrata Chatterjee’s wife?
Parambrata Chatterjee’s wife, Piya Chakraborty, is a mental health activist and singer who is currently working in an NGO. She was earlier married to musician Anupam Roy, and the couple shared six years together before announcing their separation in 2021.
For the intimate wedding, Parambrata and Piya wore simple traditional clothes. The shared photos depicted the couple signing a document (presumably a marriage certificate) while seated on a sofa.
Earlier this year, rumours about their wedding had been circulating around. However, the actor called it untrue.
As per reports, Parambrata and Piya were in a relationship for two years but never confirmed it publicly. The actor had always maintained a ‘good friends’ stance with Piya and once told the media that he was not happy with such conversations.
Although the newlywed couple had never publicly opened up about their relationship, Parambrata had increased his visits to Piya’s house in recent times. When the actor was in London for a long-scheduled shoot, she even paid him a visit. Just recently, Piya and her mother were spotted with Parambrata at a restaurant in Park Street, Kolkata.
