Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially set the Five Nights at Freddy’s 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates for Blumhouse‘s newest horror movie, based on the popular video game franchise of the same name.
The film will see a November 28 digital release, before hitting home video on December 12. It comes after nearly a month since the Josh Hutcherson-led movie had made its theatrical and Peacock debut. During its theatrical run, the film earned a worldwide gross of over $280 million worldwide against a reported budget of around $20 million.

Both releases will include an all-new bonus content, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the iconic animatronics and recreating the immersive world of the game.

“The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen,” reads the synopsis. “The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.”
Five Nights at Freddy’s was directed by Emma Tammi from a screenplay she co-wrote with game creator Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. The adaptation stars Matthew Lillard (Scream), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games films), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy), Mary Stuart Masterson (Some Kind of Wonderful), Elizabeth Lail (You) and Kat Conner Sterling (A Week Away).
