Who Is Samuel Haskell & Why Was He Arrested?

Samuel Haskell, the 35-year-old son of popular Hollywood agent Sam Haskell III, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Police made the arrest after discovering a female torso wrapped in a plastic bag inside a dumpster on Wednesday, November 8.

Authorities are still figuring out the identity of a body, but they believe it might be Mei Haskell, the missing wife of Samuel Haskell. Mei disappeared with her parents, Yanxiang Wang and Gaoshan Li.

The authorities are investing tireless efforts to pursue a prosecution that mirrors the severity of this devastating crime. Haskell Jr. is now facing three murder charges for allegedly killing his missing wife and her parents.

Samuel Haskell Jr. is the son of the famous Hollywood agent Sam Haskell III, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. He represented celebrities like George Clooney, Dolly Parton, Ray Romano, Whoopi Goldberg, Lily Tomlin, and many other famous names.

Meanwhile, Haskell Jr. used the alias Samuel Basshinger on social media. His Facebook profile revealed that Haskell Jr. frequently shared clips from his independent films and actively promoted them across platforms. His movies stand out for featuring a significant amount of violence, with characters showcasing their collection of firearms before shooting scenes. Haskell Jr. directed a 2019 music video for Cobra Kai actor Peyton List.

Despite his famous parentage, he never received proper recognition, which can be attributed to claims of his peculiar behavior. Things went further downhill after his arrest and it seems, Haskell Jr. is in big trouble.

Law enforcement authorities were reported after a homeless man found a torso in a plastic bag in a strip mall dumpster. Surveillance footage showed a vehicle leaving the plaza, guiding authorities to the suspect, Samuel Haskell. Reportedly, authorities traced Haskell to Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park, leading to his arrest.

In a news conference on Wednesday, Det. Efren Gutierrez, along with LAPD, mentioned discovering crime evidence, including blood stains, at Haskell’s Tarzana residence. As of now, Haskell is facing three murder charges for allegedly killing his wife Mei Haskell and her parents.
