How old is Jewelry Bonney and what is her real age in One Piece? Manga readers have learned more about Bonney in the recent chapters since the plot currently revolves around Kuma’s backstory. Because of her Devil Fruit powers, her real age has been unconfirmed. But the latest manga spoilers reveal her true age. Here is a guide on Jewelry Bonney and her real age.
How old is Bonney in One Piece?
Jewelry Bonney’s real age in One Piece is 12 years old.
When Jewelry Bonney’s character debuted in the series, she was estimated to be around 22 years old. This age was revealed in Eichiiro Oda’s SBS corner. Following the time skip of two years, her new estimated age was 24.
However, the events surrounding the Egghead Island arc in the manga imply that Bonney is actually younger than we think. One of the hints was that Vegapunk talked about Bonney as if she were just a little girl.
The spoilers of One Piece Chapter 1098 revealed more about Ginny, Kuma, and Bonney. Here, we find out that Bonney is Ginny’s child from her forced marriage with a Celestial Dragon. However, since Ginny died because of an extremely rare disease, Kuma decided to raise Bonney as his own.
Can Bonney change her age?
Bonney’s Devil Fruit is the Toshi Toshi no Mi (Age-Age Fruit), which allows her to change the aging process of objects or people, including herself.
Throughout the series, we have seen Bonney use her Devil Fruit to her advantage especially when it comes to sneaking around and concealing her identity. One example was at the Sabaody Archipelago when Zoro was about to attack Charlos, a Celestial Dragon/World Noble. Before Zoro could attack, Bonney changed herself into a little girl and jumped on Zoro. She made it seem like Zoro died from Charlos’ gun and started mourning her “brother.”
