Netflix has released the official Lift trailer for its forthcoming action comedy, starring Kevin Hart and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
The video shows Hart as a leader of an international heist crew who gets contracted by the government to conduct a dangerous heist in an airplane in exchange for not going to jail for their previous crimes. The film will be available for streaming on January 12.

What to Expect in Lift?
“In the film, an international heist crew, led by Cyrus Whitaker (Hart), race to lift $500 million in gold from a passenger plane at 40,000 feet,” reads the logline.
Lift is directed by F. Gary Gray from a screenplay written by Daniel Kunka and Jeremy Donner. Joining Hart and Mbatha-Raw in Lift are Vincent D’Onofrio (Daredevil), Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist), Kim Yoon-ji (Mine), Viveik Kalra (Blinded by the Light), Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders), Sam Worthington (Avatar films), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Jean Reno (Godzilla), and Burn Gorman (Pacific Rim).
The film is executive produced by Gray, Brent O’Connor, and Patricia Braga, with Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Pictures, Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan for 6th & Idaho, and Hart and Brian Smiley for HartBeat Productions serving as producers.
