Developed by John Ridley and Carlton Cuse and based on the 2013 namesake non-fiction book by Sheri Fink, Five Days at Memorial is a disaster medical drama series. Season 1 aired from August 12, 2022, to September 16, 2022.

There is no Five Days at Memorial Season 2 release date, as the show was developed as a miniseries.
The above-mentioned book by Fink is actually an expansion of Fink’s Pulitzer Prize-winning article published in The New York Times Magazine in 2009. In it, Fink delves deep into what happened at Memorial Medical Center in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Thousands of people had no other option but to stay at the hospital for five days, and there was no electricity. According to later allegations, the hospital staff euthanized a number of critically ill patients who were already deprioritized because of the triage system. Ultimately, New Orleans coroner Frank Minyard reported that the deaths were not homicides in March 2010, effectively clearing the staff of the allegations.
As a series, Five Days at Memorial more or less covers the entirety of the incident, so unless the series creators decide to turn the show into an anthology series and focus on the actions of other medical institutions during the same or different disasters, Five Days at Memorial Season 2 is unlikely to happen.
