Popular K-drama Twinkling Watermelon is all set to air a brand new episode on Monday, October 16, 2023, on tvN and will be available on Viki. The series tells the story of a CODA (child of a deaf adult) student with a gift of music, who travels back in time to 1995 and enters a music shop. He eventually forms a band called Watermelon Sugar with his friends.
Eun-gyeol (Ryeoun) was born to deaf parents. He is a diligent student during the day and a talented guitarist at night, often playing alongside friends Lee Chan (Choi Hyun-wook), Se-kyung (Seol In-ah) and Cheong-ah (Shin Eun-soo).
The end of episode 6 left many storylines unresolved and featured several timeline switches. However, the preview photos for the upcoming episode suggest that Lee Chan and Cheong-ah will attempt to put their misunderstandings behind them and become friends, perhaps even growing closer.
Twinkling Watermelon, directed by Son Jung-hyun, premiered on September 25, 2023. The K-drama airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8.50 p.m. KST on tvN and is available to stream on Viki.
Twinkling Watermelon Episode 7 photo stills reveal Choi Hyun-wook & Shin Eun-soo’s interaction
The upcoming episode of Twinkling Watermelon will focus on the time travel aspect of specific characters in the story, helping viewers to connect the dots. Meanwhile, tvN’s newly-released photos from episode 7 show interactions between Lee-chan (Choi Hyun-wook) and Cheong-ah (Shin Eun-soo).
In one of the previous episodes, Lee-chan scolded Cheong-ah for writing a fake note, which resulted in Se-kyung insulting him. When Cheong-ah didn’t respond, Lee-chan angrily asked her if she was deaf, not realizing she was hard of hearing. However, once he discovered her condition, he felt guilty about his actions.
However, when he tries to apologize, she suddenly faints due to a fever. He then rushes her to the hospital and stays with her until she recovers. One of the photos shows Lee-chan holding a piece of paper while Cheong-ah stares at it. Some of the other photos show them sharing a warm conversation, presumably after he offers to drop her back home.
Twinkling Watermelon episode 7 will explore the time travel arcs surrounding Eun-gyeol and Se-kyung. Moreover, it delves deeper into the latter’s sudden change in personality after she returns from the U.S.
