Fans are curious whether Ezra Miller will reprise their role as The Flash in James Gunn’s DCU. This is after a new report, which claims that the core cast members of Zack Snyder’s Justice League and 2017’s Justice League would not reprise their roles in James Gunn’s DCU, hit the web.
Is Ezra Miller being replaced as The Flash?
Ezra Miller will not reprise their role in the DCU, as per the new report. As such, it is very likely that they will be replaced.
Despite this, neither James Gunn nor the people over at DC Studios have confirmed anything regarding Miller’s continued tenure as The Flash or his replacement. As such, it factually remains to be seen whether or not he will be replaced.
However, it is very likely that Ezra Miller will be replaced in the role. Miller’s name, alongside the names of Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Ray Fisher, was notably absent when James Gunn mentioned via Threads the names of the actors who would retain their DCEU roles in his DC Universe, Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller, John Cena’s Peacemaker, and Xolo Mariduena’s Blue Beetle.
However, Andy Muschietti, the film’s director, claimed in an interview with Variety that Ezra Miller would not be recast as long as he was involved with the superhero franchise, claiming that Miller brought a unique performance to the character.
Who could be the new Flash actor?
If there’s going to be a new Flash actor, fans are hoping that Grant Gustin, the actor who played Barry Allen/The Flash in The CW’s Arrowverse, will fill the spot.
Gustin’s performance as the Scarlet Speedster resonated with fans so much that they wish for him to take on the role again.
