Ever since it was announced that Amazon Studios was making a television adaptation of the popular video game franchise Fallout, fans have been curious about its release date. The upcoming Fallout TV series will depict the aftermath of a nuclear war in an alternate history of a retrofuturistic 1950s world.
Here’s all the Fallout Season 1 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Fallout Season 1 release date?
Fallout Season 1 does not have a release date at the time of writing but only a release year of 2024. However, fans can expect it to drop sometime in the first two quarters of 2024, that is between January and June 2024.
The reason for the January-June 2024 release timeframe is that the production on the series had not only wrapped up filming in early 2023 before the advent of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and SAG-AFTRA strikes but is also currently in post-production. However, an exact 2024 date has not been revealed by Amazon Studios as they are likely waiting for the strikes to finish and the issues related to be resolved before they announce a fixed premiere date.
The January-June 2024 speculated timeframe is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.
Fallout is developed by Lisa Joy, who is known for her work in the HBO sci-fi series Westworld, and Jonathan Nolan, screenwriter and brother of Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and Interstellar with his brother. The series will star Moises Arias, Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Annabel O’Hagan, and Rodrigo Luzzi, among other cast members.
