Octane’s Favorite Food
Keeping up with Octane as he sprints through the city may be more challenging than staying with him on the battlefield. When I asked him what his favorite food is, he took off running all over Solace City to show me. But as soon as he would reach one restaurant, he would change his mind and go sprinting somewhere else. He eventually held still long enough to pick one, but he still couldn’t decide between a Tex-Mex burrito and quesadilla as his “favorite favorite” dish.
The extreme cheesiness of a quesadilla makes his taste buds sing, but one time he pranked a Silva Pharmaceuticals board member by slipping a firecracker into his lunchtime burrito, so that also has a special place in his heart. I got a list of ingredients for his “favorite favorite” food before he took off again, a burrito in one hand and a quesadilla in the other. I hope his heart doesn’t explode.

- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- Salt
- Pepper
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 7 ounces canned diced tomatoes
- 3⁄4 cup canned corn, drained
- Pinch of sugar
- 6 flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons crème fraîche or sour cream
- 6 teaspoons ready-made guacamole

Additional equipment
- Large, shallow baking dish (about 10 by 14 inches)

- Preheat the oven to 400°F on the convection setting.
- Spread a layer of sour cream on each of the tortillas, then spread evenly with the ground meat mixture, spread a teaspoon of guacamole on each of them, and sprinkle generously with grated cheese.
- Roll the tortillas into a burrito shape and set next to each other in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake in the preheated oven for 4 to 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
