It may only be a crumb to satiate those hungry for the return of David Fincher and Michael Fassbender, but there’s a new image of their film The Killer out there, ready to hoover up.
The movie, based on a graphic novel by Alexis Nolent and Luc Jacamon, sees an assassin (Fassbender) begin to question his sanity as he waits for his next target.
The project is a long-gestating one, with Fincher circling it for the past 16 years before finally filming in November 2021. It also marks the first film Michael Fassbender has made since 2019 (X-Men: Dark Phoenix)
It’s not too long until it arrives, but that image I mentioned? You can take a gander at it below.
The Killer: Michael Fassbender Stars in David Fincher Movie
There you go. Yes, it’s basically just a picture of a steely-eyed Michael Fassbender, but you could live off that for weeks, right?
The Killer is David Fincher’s latest collaboration with Netflix after the award-winning Mindhunter and Oscar-winning biopic Mank. It’s set to release on the streaming platform on November 10, but it will have its premiere on September 3 at the 80th Venice International Film Festival.
Alongside Fassbender, the film will star Tilda Swinton, Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, and Sophie Charlotte. It’s penned by Seven screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker and features cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt collaborating with Fincher again after their Oscar-winning work on Mank.
